Sylas

This is another new character of mine; Sylas, an anthro bat.

Age: 18

Hobbies: Robotics, tinkering with machines, studying, hacking, playing video games, and critiquing films, shows, and video games.

Likes: Steampunk architecture and culture, technology, world cultures, anime, video games (especially MMO's), and symphonic rock/metal.

Dislikes: Bullies, rap music, boy bands, Justin Bieber, cartoons (excluding anime), people not understanding what he's talking about, being annoyed when he's trying to focus on something, when the plot of a television/film/video game series he likes stops making sense or has a plot twist he thinks is stupid (he raged quite a bit when Sanzaru made Penelope into a villain in the Sly Cooper series, especially since he has a crush on her).

Bio:

Sylas originally lived with his mother, but she was forced to give him up when he was five. She was an unstable individual, and couldn't afford to take care of him, so she let him go so he could have a better life. He grew up in a foster home with two younger step-siblings who constantly harassed him. When he was about 9, he ran away from his foster home, or at least he tried to. He ended up running into a crazed anthro St. Bernard, who tried to abduct Sylas, but failed after being subdued by an anthro dragon thief named Satoru. He was impressed by Satoru's skills and wanted to travel with him. But Satoru refused, saying that he didn't want a kid involved in his line of work. But after Sylas helped Satoru escape from a few police officers by hacking into an airport security system, Satoru decided that Sylas had a lot of potential. So he took him back to his home, where he convinced his stepmother to let him adopt Sylas.

After adopting him, he decided to let Sylas stay in a hideout he created in Florida. Sylas pretty much has the run of the place, but Satoru doesn't mind. Although Sylas can get on his nerves, especially when he helps him out of situations by hacking into a security system or two and then bragging about it to Satoru. He likes to think highly of himself when he succeeds at something. But when he messes something up, he accepts that he screwed up, but he's hard on himself afterwards.
He also let Sylas pretty much get anything he wanted in terms of clothing, accessories, furniture, etc. He even let him have his own room, so Sylas renovated the cellar into a steampunk-themed room for himself, since he's a huge fan of steampunk-themed stuff. His room has things like a workstation, several computer monitors connected to a single computer system, and a 70-inch plasma TV for gaming.

He excelled at a young age. But he didn't want to skip any grades because he wanted to stay around kids his age. He also just hit puberty, which has caused him to get into trouble for certain things, like hacking into the security cameras at a Victoria's Secret.

Sylas does have a few friends, but he mostly keeps to himself, preferring to chat with friends online while gaming or building stuff. He enjoys gaming quite a bit, his favorites being World of Warcraft and The Elder Scrolls series. He is also very set in his ways regarding his gaming opinions and gets annoyed when people don't understand the lore of games he likes.

He also has a way of hacking into other people's computer's via chatrooms whenever he talks to someone he meets online. This way, he can hack into their webcam to see who exactly they are in case he ends up talking to some psychotic nutjob. And so far, he's encountered a lot of people pretending to be someone else. This has also helped Satoru avoid several bad business deals, as well as keep Satoru under the radar in terms of both the authorities and Miss Veronica.

Despite the fact that Sylas has wings, he doesn't use them a lot, even when he's outside. Plus his wings are pretty small and can only carry him for about 20 seconds or so.
